"Flash" back

I initially learned flash from a podcast called "LearnFlash.com Video Podcast", then I begin to gain interest and continue learning new tricks of using Flash.

In order to make my blog more interactive, I decided to add some flash elements to my blog.

Banner as slide show

This flash banner, which serves as a slide show, picks a random image and begins the slide show from there. When the user clicks on the banner, the background will dim and the location of the picture will fade in.

Text Scroller

This text scroller has the same functionality as the javascript one but in Flash. The scroller pauses if mouse over and continues if mouse out. It supports easing and looping.

There are disadvantages of using Flash based scroller. Whenever the user wants to change the text content of the scroller, the user has to make the change in Flash Studio software with the exception of putting the text in a XML file.
